| Comments: | I am so sorry to hear about Tanner she really strikes me as an outstanding young lady.I am only 11 years old and I have always wanted to be a doctor but now I am positive I want to be a pediatric oncologist and dedicate my life to finding a cure.I am hearing impaired and have had 12 surgeries but it is nothing compared to brain surgery.I only consider the fact that I could go deaf.I would always take that though over any other disease in the world.I have since found a doctor that we (my family) is sure will bring back my hearing.I am still very sorry that tanner passed away at 10 years of age.I am only 8 months older than Tanner.I have always wanted to do something that would benefit others.I decided a oncologist would be the job for me.I could go on and on but I will not.My prayers are with you and I hope you are doing well.Heaven is such a bright place to be no more pain.She is probably the one that makes everyone happy. |

| Comments: | I saw the post at Ron's website today. My how your little ones have grown in the last couple of years. I still remember your family in my prayers and remember lovely Tanner. She has a special place in many hearts. With a diagnosis many families lives have been forever changed. My daughter is celebrating her 13th year in remission from Hodgkin's in October. She is running in a marathon for the American Cancer Society (and she has reduced lung capacity). She also works weekends at the adult Ronald McDonald House called The Hope Lodge one weekend a month. Last weekend at the races I helped to raise money for Make-A-Wish. And next month is Walk To The Beat for the Heart Connection Oncology camp. | Comments: | I learned about Tanner from a friend in California, Jeannie McCoy. My husband is in the terminal stages of ES, and I am sharing your pain. Your daughter was a warrior, and your story has affected my life in a way that you will likely never know. Thank you for taking the time to put your raw feelings out there for others to learn from. I have no idea what lies ahead since my husband is still healthy and has just been told that after surgery, radiation and 3 different chemo types, his chances of cure are slim to none. He has just enrolled in a clinical trial for IGF1R inhibitors. It's our last chance to buy some time. My heart aches for your loss. |

The last time we saw Tanner was in April of 2007 in Disneyland.I just recently took the kids back for Spring break again this April.I honestly felt Tanner there with us. I felt her in my heart. We were referred by some people we knew from the NAC. We no longer attend there, but we know one of the families who I believe you are related to. | Comments: | I am sending warm wishes to you and your family. My children and I make a daily visit to the Storz Radiation center at UNMC everyday during the week. We learned of you and Tanner during our first visit. I am so sorry to hear for your loss. My son Javon is currently 8 yrs old and is having radiation to shrink a Craniopharyngioma tumor that was found on December 8th. Thankfully his tumor is benign. It grew on his optic nerve, hypothalamus, and pituitary gland. Dr. Puccioni performed a craniotomy on Javon on December 11th. It amazes me how strong children really are. I just wanted you to know that your story has touched us and we think about your family everyday. Javon colors with the crayons that are at the Storz radiation center almost on a daily basis. Tanner is still touching the lives of others. |

Tonight there was a balloon release at the Candlelighters Picnic. My Brad has been gone for 4 years and I still don't want to believe it. I follow the pages of other kids fighting Ewing's Sarcoma. I pray for them and their families. No one should ever have to stand by and watch their child die. I can't imagine anything more cruel. But my faith keeps me from going insane. I believe our angels are safely in God's hands. As selfish as this may sound, I wish I could have died instead. At least my suffering would be over. I know this is a painful journey and we all try to keep moving forward. But, it's also OK to completely fall apart when we need to. Thank you for sharing Tanner with me. She holds a very special place in my heart. It is hard for me to understand why or how I've survived this long without him. I will be attending the Compassionate Friends Conference this year. It will be my third conference in a few weeks. This will be my third conference. For some reason the conference makes July a bit easier for me. I think of you and your family often. I wish there was some way all of us grieving parents could make our children come back. It is the one and only thing I want - yet I will never get it here on Earth. | Comments: | Me again. What I was saying is that most people would not have made it half way through what you went through. Dont ever forget that you are an AMAZING MOM. And what mom doesnt lose a fuse here and there I do. We still pray that God gives you the strength to get through your days. One day you will find a happy medium because Tanners memories will never go away so how can the pain. And you know what Tan would be thinking that she would want you to live your life to the fullest with Hope and Brody just like you did with her. She would want you to have that relationship because noone will ever know when it is their time. That is the biggest life lesson that Tan taught us is spend as much time with your family and have fun because you never know. You are a GREAT mom, and shouldnt think any different. What you did for Tanner when she was with you was amazing and you would do it again in a heartbeat. Hope and Brody are so little that all they understand is that their mom is sad and will clearly understand later in life that noone deserves to go through what you are going through. And it sounds like you have a great support system to beable to have that time to yourself to be sad, because its ok and would in my opinion be kind of wierd if you were not. I think about the saying that time does heal, which I couldnt imagine healing from this, but in time I hope it gets easier. | Comments: | It is amazing what you are doing. I give you so much credit for everything. I know how dificult this is for you. I lost my sister to Ewing's sarcoma September 12, 2008. This cancer was found in her leg when she was 9 and she battled it off and on for 12 years. It matastisized to her lungs and she went through an amputation and lung transplant. It is hard to get through each day with out her. My mom is really having a hard time and she will not let anyone help her. I would love so much to give you a hug, to have you wake me in the middle of the night to do some baking or for you to cheat at some game to let your grammie win; all so very you. We miss you so much and nothing is the same or right without you being a major part of it all. As you know it is like our boat doesn't have a rudder (it is broken - it is my heart); sometimes we are speeding along in some unknown direction, then we are spinning in circles and then we just drift in a daze.
